Here's what we know for sure- Guerdie has her Visawhwich is great news, a plane with kids from our O has left PaP and is in route to Florida (way delayed). Colorado kids will come to Denver . We don't know if Guerdie is on that plane, we don't know how long it will take to clear immigration in Florida , and don't know when she will be in Denver. The other 2 families we are with got word that their kids had NOT rec'd visas as of last night. Don't know if they got them before plane left or not. Please keep praying. It's really hard on these guys - we know the kids were on the list to receive humanitarian parole, but don't know what the hold up is.
We are doing OK today- better than yesterday. Gracie is in Colo SPgs with my family, to give us a break, which is awesome. I slept in today, to be awakened by a news reporter wanting information :o( But, we went for a run,and are in pretty good spirits today. Wade and Chelsea drove to Denver yesterday for the weekend, so we are so praying that Guerdie comes before they have to leave on Sunday afternon. It's great to all be together. SO, we continue to wait in Denver and are about ready to go to a movie! When we know anything more, please know we let you know ASAP. Love to you all!

Update Guerdie
Good news tonight! We drove to Denver today with the 3 other families who are adopting from Haiti. Decided this morning to pack up quickly and take off. The COlorado governors office is also working diligently in the process, so there is a chance that the kids will be able to come to Colorado. So, we wait for a call! Continue to pray for all the details to come together tomorrow, that all the Visa's will be issued quickly, and that security and transportation will be arranged. I'll keep you all posted. A Difficult Day … A Race Against Time
Blocked roads, heat and missing paperwork complicate orphans departure
(Port-au-Prince, Haiti) Because of State Department procedural requirements, on the morning of January 21, 2010, 114 children left the Maison des Enfants de Dieu (Children of the House of God) orphanage for the U.S. Embassy. Of the 114 children, 111 were the orphans eligible for humanitarian parole to the United States and three were orphans who have Canadian/Argentinean adoptive parents and may also qualify for evacuation. Eighty-seven toddlers and children traveled in a bus and twenty-seven infants traveled in a van, accompanied by orphanage staff, representatives from the U.S. ministry, For His Glory Adoption Outreach (FHG), and members of the press. Dead bodies, debris and abandoned vehicles in the roads made movement very difficult. Temperatures inside the vehicles became extreme and began to make the younger children sick. After 2 hours of little progress, the difficult decision was made to return to the orphanage.
After returning the children to the orphanage, staff members returned to the U.S. Embassy and received permission to process the children's paperwork without the children being physically present.
Humanitarian paroles for some of the orphans have been completed, however additional documentation was needed for others. The United States Customs and Immigration Service has pledged to work through the night with FHG staff to ensure that all required documentation will be available Friday in sufficient time to allow all 114 orphans to depart Haiti for the United States. Air Transportation from Haiti is being arranged for the evening of January 22, 2010.

Happy Gotcha Day! 3 years!
3 years ago today, we held little Lin Le QIng in our arms for the first time. Boy was she mad and upset! We celebrated by watching our whole video of our China trip. Gracie actually sat and watched most of it. It had to be over 2 hours of footage at least. What wonderful memories! Just brought me back there like no time had passed! Today, was a fairly ordinary day- Gracie had preschool, then we went out to lunch with Wade which was a treat. Nap, movie, gym and to dinner at a friends house. Kirk is fishing at Lake Powell and Joey was working. Gracie still loves to wear her "China Outfit" once a year (the outfit she came to us in). So, she slept in it and manages to somehow squeeze into it! (At a well checkup this week, she was 38 inches tall and 34 1/2 pounds. Still 10% in height and moving up in weight- 40%. But still a short Yamaguchi!)
