I'm on Vacation!!

Gracie is in Canon City this week visiting her friends, while we enjoy some time off! They tell me there that possession is 90% of the law, so don't know if we'll get her back or not :o). The Sondrols and Kellys offered to take her back with them after our Vineyard conference in Fort Collins last week. I needed a break so bad, so I am very thankful. I really do feel like I'm on vacation- I can sleep in, go excercize whenever I want, don't have to tiptoe by her room so she won't wake up, we can eat peacefully at a restaurant and actually have a great conversation! But, on the flip side, it's way too quiet here and not near as lively! We'll go get here on Friday or Saturday this week- assuming she makes it a week. This is the longest ever that she will be away from us. She's a social butterfly and thrives on lots and lots of people! We miss her but I am getting refueled to be able to do this for the long haul! Thanks friends!!!

Gracie's Life

You'll see Miss Grace going to China with her bags, dolls, and pink heels- yes sometimes even in the nude! She loves to take trips to China! She also loves getting into everything-here's some shots of her trying to get keys out of the drawers- being honery!

Gracie's first mud bath and Happy 19th BIrthday Wade

Boy did Gracie love the mud! She didn't want to come in- thought this was a blast! Chelsea and our family went in together and gave Wade a nice long board for his bday! He loves it.

Joey the working man!

Here's my big project lately- trying to get a garden ready. It's taken forever- but finally have it ready to plant(2 months late :). O well, Joey rototilled while Gracie played in her sand box, then Kirk and Wade hauled 4 yards of dirt in wheel barrows, and Kirk rototilled in all in again. So, next year I'll have a great garden! Should have lots of grapes, and some fruit from my trees. The yard needed work, so it's a long process. It takes 3 of us to get the lawn mowed and trimmed- it's so big! But, I do love the space!

Back home to start summer

Russ Dornish is living with us for the summer (long time friend of Wade's from Canon City)- he's doing an internship with the youth pastor at the church and working at SPorts Authority. We have a full house this summer, but it's lots of fun and reminds me of old times with lots of kids at the house.

Park City Utah

We spent a week in Park City on the way home from Boise. Had a nice time with the family. Chelsea was also with us; had a great time with her. Not super relaxing with a 2 year old, but still good to be away. Here is Gracie reading Chelsea's bible, and the kids playing on the snowfields at the ski area. There is still a ton of snow left there!
